Wedding Season

This is wedding season Love is in the air. Duty calls more pics to take and scrapbooks to make. When Missy a close friend of my cousin Placi, ask me to help at her wedding I was honored for many reasons. Your wedding represents one of those life milestones, you are no longer single you have chosen someone to share your life with and you want to share this very special event with friends and family. Preparing for this wonderful day can be stressful you want everything to be perfect because you want your marriage to start out perfect, and this day represents you and your new spouse and the love you have for one another. So what an honor it was to be chosen to help Missy prepare for her special day. I of course drafted my mother to help out too. Me and mom were responsible for getting the reception hall ready. I really enjoyed decorating the hall and making sure everything was as perfect as can be for Missy and her new husband Will.

The wedding was beautiful and so romantic. "Missy is a virtures woman" is what many said as they gave the couple thier well wishes and I agree. I don't think she understand how much she has help me without even knowing what is going on in my life. She is a true representation of "Be true to what you believe and always put GOD first". Of course I will be working on a wedding book for Missy and her husband.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life, there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints in the sand, it was then that I carried you. "
Life can sometimes teach you hard lessons and the past month has been filled with hard lessons for me.
But through it all I know God is watching over me and my final destination will be the greatest blessing.
The hardest part of learning hard lessons is to actual learn from them and being able to accept change.
Life changes, people change, and we change.........

New beginnings

This weekend was a time of reflection and New beginnings. On Saturday I had a Crop at my house. My friends Monique, Zee and Cat came. I worked on a picture frame a gift for my cousin who just got married and Monique worked hard on some layouts to enter into a contest. Zee worked on Vacation photos and Cat worked on a album for her parents. It was very nice.

As I looked for pics to use on Placi's picture frame I reflected on days gone by. The days living in New York the journeys life has taken us on, from Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and now Maryland. We have come a long way and we cried, laughed, loved, lost love, and found love again.

New beginnings was the name and theme for the Baby Shower / Wedding Reception. Placi and Shawn have been together for 13 years and have 4 beautiful children. I have watched their lives go through many transformations and New beginnings is the best way to describe were they are now.

Placi is 8 months pregnant and glowing she is so happy, you don't find to many woman who are 8 months pregnant and happy, but how else would she be she just married her soul mate and the love of her life. How bless she is.

I had a great time taking pictures, I love these shots. I love my digital camera I feel like a pro.

Guess who is making her wedding album :-)

Kid In A Candy Store

I was a kid in a candy store saturday at the Bowie Crop, I went with my mom and we had a ball. Words can not express the fun I had. I finally found out where all the crazy scrapbookers hang out. I am no longer afraid to express myself I luv 2 Scrapbook I am normal the rest of the world needs help. :-)
I made new friends and heard many stories about scrapbookers and thier journies. Many of the ladies were former CM consultants and or CM customers, I keep hearing " there is life after CM" I was so happy to hear I am not the only CM rep that strays to other products. "There is no wrong in scrapbooking just remeber to use photo safe and archival products and most of all have fun, scrapbooking is about fun". :- ) Words of wisdom I heard during dinner.

I want to thank Lynn from All Day Events for a great day. I felt like I was on a mini vacation even though it only lasted a day. I also want to thank my new crop buddies for sharing thier stories and sharing thier luv to scrapbook

Check out the cool SB tools I found!!

Dads Album Final touches

Well I am still up at 11:41 pm working on my dads father's day mini album. I thought I was done but I need to add something I am not sure what but it needs something, and I need sleep so I will finish this tomorrow. I added a Video clip when I first heard this song I loved it. I have always believed that what we go through in life makes us stonger so we can fulfill our true purpose. Therefore never forget your past because those are the lessons that will bring you closer to your future.

One things for sure if I had to do it all again I wouldn't change a thing. :-)

Memorable Weekend

I had a great time this weekend my sister visited and it was my son Marque's birthday.

On Saturday I had a cookout BBQ Birthday Bash for Marques. Okay, maybe not a Bash more like a little get together, but we had a ball.

On Sunday morning me and my sister went scrapbook shopping at AC Moore, sorry no pics to busy shopping. I found a great pack of pattern paper by SBW Scrapbook Wizard, I never heard of this brand but I couldn't resist the patterns, I love pattern paper. My sister lost her mind and bought the store. On the top of her list was chalk she is going to try chalk on her pages, she is also creating a cool page using wire she found color wire. I promise to post pics when her page is done.

After we finish shopping we spent the rest of our Sunday scrapbooking and sipping wine. I am working on a 8 page accordion fold out album that comes in a tin by DCWV. It is a Fathers day gift for my dad. I sent my grandmother a mini album for mothers day and after sharing it with my dad she is still waiting for him to return it. So now he will have his own. All the pics are of me and him Daddy's Little Girl.

Then on Monday I took advantage of the beautiful weather and we went on a pinic, Jaylons idea. It was nice just me Jason, Jaylon, and VJ. The girls were at the mall of course and Marques spent the day with his god mommy Australia.

Now it is time for bed and back to work in the morning and I am not ready. I don't want this weekend to end.

CM Business

As you all know I am a Creative Memories consultant. I love scrapbooking and I love my CM business. So if you visit my blog and want to join my monthly crop please feel free to contact chelapinder@hotmail.com and feel free to check out my Creative Memories Site www.mycmsite.com/pinderg . I hope everyone comes to my Crop, please give me any suggestions to get it started.

Tattoo Part 2

Okay, I remember what I forgot yesterday, I forgot to mention that on May 20, 2006 Shaquaya Lewis got her first tattoo. She has been driving me crazy about it and I thought I would die, because this is a sign of her independence and I had to let go. Of course some people feel I should have waited until she was 18 but Shaquaya is a good girl and it's not like she is asking for her first drink, birth control, or if she can go out with a guy or even a girl, you never know these days. It's just a tattoo a sign that she is growing up and I am finally accepting that. I am glad that it is over I told her no more parental consent activities until she can consent to it herself.

Where did the Day go

I woke up at 8:30 am tried to work on my Baptism layout for my album, that never happened. My friend Chanta came over, then my sister's girlfriend came over and we all went shopping at BJ"s warehouse. I really don't shop at those big warehouse stores but with 5 kids I thought I should give it a try. The prices were good on somethings other things seem over price. Then Chanta wanted to go shoe shopping so we did that, then I did my hair , cooked dinner, clean the kitchen, did the laundry, gave myself a manicure and pedicure, and of course updated my blog. I'm sure I forgot to do something gotta go........

My poor lonely work station :-(

Contest

I entered my first scrapbook layout contest today www.scrapsofcolor.com It was more work than I thought it would be. First of all the Scan & Stitch program I downloaded for free keep freezing. Then I tried www.autostitch.com that worked but it took a lot of time and patients. After I finally scanned & stitched I still had to edit the file. But I did it and it was fun minus the Scan & Stitch problem. I hope I did it right, wish me luck.

MOM AND DAD 70'S LOVE CHILD

Okay I think I finally found a way to post my scrapbook pages. Thank you Lisa for your help. This is my 70's page Mom, Dad, and Me. This is for my ALL ABOUT ME ALBUM. I have been working long and hard on that album it is serious business because I am serious business. I love working on this album because I love reflecting on my childhood the days of no responsiblities, that we take for granted. If I knew then what I know now.
"Its not fare that we forget our childhood
it is one of the happiest times of our lives. "

Baseball Blues

I find that the older your children get the harder it is to make them happy. Today VJ missed his baseball game his ride never showed up. To make things worst his coach told him that he had to be at the game because they really needed him. So now it is my fault even though I was the one who signed him up for baseball in the first place, thinking it would make him happy and get him out the house. But now I have another job and he has another reason to be made at me.

Tattoo

Drama queen Shaquaya is at it again, she is 16 soon to be 17 and stressing me about going with her to get a tattoo. I decided to let her get it but I am not sure I am ready. I know I have to let her grow but I look at her and I can't believe my baby is a big girl now. Today she caught me staring and she asked, " mom why are you looking at me like that". I can't believe she is the same little girl that could not leave my side. Well my Quaya is all grown up now.
